Recently, our former Japanese distributor “JUN corporation” (who never signed any distributorship agreement with our company) posted on their own blog saying that we showed no responsibility of after-sale service to Japanese customers who have bought the products from JUN corporation because we offered normal retail price to JUN for the spare parts which were required for the repair demands.
What we want to clarify to the comment in JUN corporation’s post is that we, Illumagic Opto, “NEVER” signed any distributorship agreement with JUN corporation in the past years to define the obligations between two companies. That is, JUN corporation was actually considered as an importer of our products instead of a contract dealer in distributing our products. Moreover, Illumagic Opto has no responsibility to offer JUN corporation the price they expect for, especially when we have ended up the relationship with this company for years already.
In the emails we replied to Mr. Atsushi Tanaka, the owner of JUN corporation, we clearly mentioned that we were willing to offer spare parts for fixing the faulty products. We offered a quotation to Mr. Tanaka for the spare parts he asked for, and the price is actually lower than that we offered to normal end customers who bought directly from us. However, Mr. Tanaka replied us and asked why we quoted him that price. Although we explained and let him understand our standpoint on the after-sale service, he was not happy with the answer.
Without further discussion and negotiation, JUN corporation posted on their own blog and gave the specious and groundless comments about us. We are very disappointed with the rude and impolite action of JUN corporation. We hope anyone in Japan, who has bought our products, can try to translate this announcement to Japanese and share to forums or social networking sites to let other Japanese consumers know the truth. We are happy to provide service to JUN corporation to support customers who bought our products from them, but JUN corporation should not take this service for granted.
Last but not least, Illumagic Opto has been suffered from the specious and/or incorrect rumors by JUN corporation in Japanese market since we decided to end up the relationship with JUN corporation. We tried very hard not to spend our time to fight against these rumors, but JUN corporation kept damaging our reputation like this while hiding his own faults and mistakes that he had made to us and other local or oversea companies that he is dealing with. If you know something about the true evil side of JUN corporation, please let us know!
