The two photos above show a lighting system composed of 6 x CR-60 units. As one can see from the colors of the LEDs distributing within the six units, two main layouts were adopted in this system. One is for actinic lighting which is composed of 400nm/420nm/450nm LEDs. The other is for white lighting which is composed of 470nm/500nm/7000K/4000K LEDs. The customer who bought this system plans to use this lighting system on his new 75cm x 75cm x 45cm tank with dominant SPS corals. We are confident with the "quality" of the light since the light is composed of wavelengths ranging from 390nm to 700nm. With regard to the light intensity (or penetration), we have added 60 degree optical lenses on each LEDs except for the 400nm Near-UV and 500nm Cyan LEDs. With the 60 degree lenses, the light generated from a 2W LED will be as bright as that from a 5W LED. There should be no problem with the light on covering such a wide area since the whole lighting system is about 50cm wide and 55cm long. This lighting system will be installed by the customer this weekend. More photos will be available soon. We will keep you guys posted with the latest condition of the tank here in the future!
